For Monday, you are going to write a 500-word story. Yes, I said 500 words! This story can be about anything, however, a central event of the story must include an animal to whom we feel sympathy. In other words, there must be a part where we feel sad about an animal.
We will start writing this on Wednesday, and on Monday you will do peer-editing. Therefore, you need to be able to access a digital version of the story for this editing on Monday. Write your story on Google Docs.

Here are the requirements.
- Approximately 500 words
- The margins of the document are to be set as 1.27cm, or 0.5 inches. In Google Docs, you can do this by clicking File in the top left of the program, and then clicking Page Setup. (In MS Word, click Layout, then Margins, and finally select Narrow.)
- The font should be Arial, size 12.
Failure to follow these instructions will lead to your story not being graded. This may seem rather strict.
It is. (Note the power of short sentences!)
